Knowledge Center | Six guides published

The explanations other companies put behind a sales call.

Long-form guides on credit, business structure, funding, and protection. Written to be used without us, dated honestly, and sourced to the agencies that set the rules.

How this works

Six finished guides beat a hundred thin ones

We're writing these one at a time rather than padding an archive to look established, which is slower and considerably less impressive at a glance. Nothing here carries a fabricated publication date, there are no placeholder posts dressed up as finished work, and no guide stops four-fifths of the way through to ask you to book a call.

Where a subject area has nothing published yet, it says so. The relevant service page carries the working explanation in the meantime, and those run long.

Every guide has to clear this bar

A reader should finish able to act, whether or not they ever contact us. That means: what it is, why it matters, how it works mechanically, the common mistakes, what you can do yourself, when professional help is worth paying for, and the official sources so you can check the work.

A guide that can't meet that standard doesn't get published to hit a quota.

Business formation & compliance

Every business structure, explained without a sales pitch at the end

Sixteen structures and designations sorted into three groups: what you form with your state, how the IRS taxes it, and the labels that aren't entities at all.

Business formation & compliance

"LLC or S corp?" is the wrong question

An LLC is a legal structure. An S corp is a tax election. What the election actually does, and the three numbers that decide whether it's worth it for you.

Business formation & compliance

An anonymous LLC isn't anonymous. It's quieter.

What privacy-oriented formation gets you, which states allow it, what it does nothing about, and the home-state registration trap that undoes most of it.

If you formed a company in the last two years, this rule changed twice

US-formed companies no longer file beneficial ownership reports with FinCEN. The current rule, who still files, and why three contradictory answers are circulating.

Trusts, estate & succession

A trust is a set of instructions, not a vault

The three roles in any trust, what each arrangement actually does, how one can own a business, and the funding step people skip that makes the whole thing pointless.

Protection & financial strategy

It isn't banking, and it isn't infinite

What the infinite banking concept actually is, the policy underneath it, why you are not paying yourself back, and the two tax traps that ruin it. Written by people who sell no insurance.

Where everything will live

Matching the nine situations on the services side, because the questions people have follow the problems they have.

Three sequences that cover most situations

If you're not sure where to begin, pick the one that sounds like you and read in order.

  1. I'm rebuilding personally

Money foundations first, because the rest doesn't hold without it. Then personal credit. Then credit reporting if anything on your file looks wrong.

  2. I'm starting or fixing a business

Business structures, then entity versus tax classification, then business credit. Add funding readiness if borrowing is on the horizon.

  3. I'm protecting what I've built

Identity and privacy first, because the highest-value steps there are free. Then trusts and business ownership, then succession.

New guides

Want to know when the next one lands?

We publish these as they're finished, which is irregular by design. Leave an email and you'll hear when a new guide goes up.

That's all this list is for. No drip sequence, no daily tips, no selling. Unsubscribe whenever, and nothing will chase you on the way out.

We don't sell or share your email. This list is only used to announce new guides.

Our standards

How this material gets made

  • Primary sources only for anything about law, regulation, or government process. FTC, CFPB, IRS, SBA, state agencies, and the bureaus' own documentation. Not marketing blogs, even when they happen to be right.
  • Sources linked at the claim, not buried in a bibliography at the bottom.
  • Review dates that mean something. A date here says someone checked the content against its sources on that day. It isn't a timestamp generated by a publishing system.
  • Corrections made openly. If something's wrong, tell us and it gets fixed, with the review date updated.
  • No fabricated anything. No invented results, no made-up case studies, no articles that exist only to hold keywords.

That's what the conversation is for. And if what you read was enough to handle it yourself, that's the system working rather than a leak in it.
